I have used Winavi video converter to convert 2 avi files. i named each folder dvd_1 and dvd_2. each folder has the neccessary video and audio ts folders in them. I want to burn these two folders to one dvdr disk. I tried using dvdshrink. I followed the guide to adding dvd directories. the file waws created to an iso file and then burned to disk. problem is there is only the first half of the movie. the second dvd file was not burned. or atleast it doesnt show up. also how could i create a simple menu or atleast split the files up into smaller chapters? thanx

Are you using direct burn feature with Nero?
If so, try using Nero Vision Express to burn the individual movies to one disk, you can create menus, interactive buttons, etc...

Check the files on the computer that you are attempting to burn, open one of them and make sure that IT has audio.

If it has audio, then give us a step by step, for example, which program did you use to do this?...etc.

Well I figured it all out and here's what I have accomplished. I had movie cd1.AVI and movie cd2.AVI files. I converted them to dvd folders using WinAVIVideo converter. I then downloaded the trial of Nero 7 ultra. I added both video files and merged into one file. opened shrink and ran it thru with option to export to dvdecrypter and burn iso file. came thru flawless with video and audio. I am now using the Nero burn to dvd function on the second movie dvd folders. i am also using the auto detect chapters and see if i can burn this movie with chapters and a nice menu. i noticed the video quality good but not dvd quality from my first movie. the darker background in dark scenes looks a little pixelated but definately bearable. new to all this. ripping and burning a copy of my store bought movie for back-up purposes has been uneventful. but converting old movie.AVI files and merging them onto one disk as dvd so i can play them in my standalone dvd player is a challenge i am learning to overcome. I have many old videos i would like to burn to dvd as dvd that i shall be tackling now. a VIDEO OF AEROSMITH from the 70's is a priceless thing to have on dvd in my book.
