Save your money, you are better off using the free programs or if you want to spend your money then get AnyDVD and CloneDVD. I have this program and it will not do new encryption, not only that the company has been promising an update for 6 weeks and none has been delivered, the quality is not all that good, stick with what you got. Just my two cents.

Looks like it could be based on Shrinkto5 which is opensource and free. Source is a version behind though which if this is using Shrinkto5 code makes it a version behind.
Edit: I think shrinkto5 also license their code. So it could be that.

I would not be surprised if it was not based on Shrinkto5, it uses the Machinistdll for it encryption. It also reminds me a lot of another program that is being sold which is Xcopy9 and does the same thing, and badly. Both NextCopy and Xcopy9 backups are terrible in quality, you have a lot of artifacts in the finished product and it looks bad on a bigger screen TV. NextCopy is selling for 100.00 and it is not worth it, Xcopy9 goes for 35.00 retail it is also not worth it.

If it uses Machinist.dll and not machinist2.dll then it is the old shrinkto5 which suggests that it is a GPL violation. This is the reason why shrinkto5 source is a version behind.

They just came out with an update for this prog yesterday, and are telling all to now dl the Machinist2.dll. Not that it will probably make a hill of beans, the program has some majory bugs, it would not do Charlie and CF, and several other ones will just crash at the end giving you a Microsoft error. Will test this out some more and see if it is any better now that they have updated but doubt it.

Thanks for the feedback.. I was not only wondering if it was a scam, but now it seems they are offering a product that is questionable!
I will stick with what I have for now, and work out some things to get the slyfox software! I've heard too much good about it.
Thanks again.

Well only ShrinkTo5 v1.7 source is publically available so if they are using 2.x code then they could be licensing the app, therefor it woudl be legit. You can get ShrinkTo5 2.x for free if you don't mind a bit of adware or a 3 day demo. You can also buy it much cheaper.
