does anybody know how to do this
i downloaded a movie then i was told to get winavi and convert the avi to svcd and use nero to burn it

is there any other way

i think you need a dvd burner.
there cheao these days so just go and buy one

Yup..you can get a good DVD burner for like $40 bucks or under..

the only way i know how to do this and make it work is to buy a DivX dvd player or you could go buy a dvd burner for 29.99 dollars on tigerdirect.com

datboyb..YUP,Provided U have a DVD-Rom Drive &[ANY DVD+DVD Decrypter]U need these little programs to add your DVD to your HardDrive.Then all U have to do is convert your DVD to DivX W/DrDivx..make sure U set it to 700megs,U will be able to burn w/CD Burner.Next have a DivX DVD Player around 50bucks..Once U start doing this U will be addicted to DivX [Xvid,AVI]..quality is great,storage of movies is Fantastic..You'll probably be intised into buying a DVD Burner around 50bucks..Cause with a DVD Burner you'll be able to store about 6 Movies on one DVD..Next figure whats best for U 1 Movie on 1 CD..ABOUT 20cent

goman007..Absolutely great..In Nero,select DVD-ROM(ISO).Add your movies & burn..Remember they have to be [Divx,XviD,AVI]or they can be just raw Mpegs around 700to850megs ea.about [5movies][CVCD's,Xvcd,s]etc
