Ok I bought a softmodded x-box but it only has a couple mods (for halo 2) on some maps. I was woundering how to get mods and transfor them onto my x-box. Also what do I need to download and if you have mods for the game halo 2 I can put on(if you can show me)??

You can download mods from lots of other Halo 2 hacking forums. If you want to make your own use the program Dot Halo. Are you modding the old maps or the new ones? And are you modiing on xbox live?

the person that ibought the x-box from said he had all the new maps modded, so that means I want to mod the old maps if possible. And yes I have x-box live but I am only modding in custom games, I have a seperate x-box to play matchmaking.
I really dont know what im doing once I get to dot halo so can someone give me step by step if you have the time.

ok, if u have a softmodded xbox, and u want to mod the old maps u gotta do this. 1.) save halo 2 to ur hard drive. 2.) FTP the maps to your comp and save them in a folder called "normal maps". then make a folder called "modded maps" and copy the maps to there. 3.) open the map u want to mod in dot halo from the modded maps folder (hopefully u got that one by urself...:)...) 4.) mod your map 5.)encrypt it, and make a ppf. 6.)idk if u have to sign it but i always do anyway. 7.)transfer the new modded map to your xbox over the old map. 8.) if u mess up on the map and it doesnt load its ok...just FTP the map from ur normal maps folder over the map thats messed up. 9.) thank me and enjoy ur mod.

You don't have to save Halo 2 to your hard drive. You could just open your modded dashboard, pop the disk in, and transfer the maps from the D folder when FTP'ing.
