Ok.... the laser in my old chubby Region 2 PS2 is going so I bought a brand new slim Region 4 PS2 SCPH 70002 and got the Swap Magic 3 discs and the Magic Switch Pro tools.

Not wanting to void my warranty I inserted Tool A, B and then E.

Now my PS2 doesn't turn on. When I press the power button the light goes green but then goes back to red straight away.

Wtf is going on?

I can't find the freaking reciept for the PS2 so does anyone have any ideas?

Sounds like actuator is permantly on switch so as you press to turn on it automatically turns itself off if you are prepared to open up,try turning on power with case off (use something plastic)if light stays green its the actuator i had to trim mine back slightly.
