hey im from Australia and i am very new to this scene
I recently had an xbox given to me before my ex girlfriends brother moved to England, i dont speak to him or her anymore. I know the XBOX plays burnt discs because there was 3 bunrt games that come with it. My concern is finding out what mod/chip it has, like dash or whetever. when i switch it on it has the basic green bacground with.
MEMORY
MUSIC
SETTING
That is all i can see in there nothing else, no hidden letters or numbers nothing. ANy ideas on finding out what it has? or should i try to put a new dash on or what, PLEASE help, Matt

Yes i can play burnt games. i have 3 games on blank discs. I also have another burnt disc that just says XBOX on it but when i load it it doesnt load up at all, so i dont know

Umm im not heaps familiar with burning them? is that like an image? do i need alcohol if so what version? and also what would this auto instal program you have recomended do for me???

It can install dashboard, apps, emulators, and more. Look here for shotscreens.

Yes, you need alcohol or Nero, etc... to burn iso (image). If you burn it right to DVD-R, xbox will load it like you see in the shotscreens.

I only have the hard drive that the xbox was released with, 8 gig one i think they are, there hasnt been another hdd put in it, Does this matter?

NO.
But you are so new to this. So dont do anything to Xbox hdd yet. Just burn the iso to see if it load in xbox.

Download the AID 3.0 also. Because it is complete. The update is new. So I dont know.

AID 3.0 on same link as the Update Packs.
Yes, you need bigger hdd.

OK i dont know if there is another hdd in there. i know i can already play the burnt games i already have so there must be a way to access the dash or whatever that might be hidden and activated somehow, is it possible to play burnt games without the extra hdd? because im not sure at all, i have no idea, is there a way i can check or what

wait..
Don't get yourself so confusing.
Just do step by step. Download and burn AID 3.0 to DVD-R. Put in xbox to see if it loads. Then we go next step.

Yes you can use 1 of the 80GB. But not yet. Wait untill the xbox reads AID disk.
