I know it's the stupid thing to do but I'm incredibly frustrated with my PSP right now. I bought one used and found out that I was lucky that he had only updated it to 2.0. I downgraded it to 1.5 and went out a bought a 2gb sony card. Also rented mlb2006 from gamefly in the interim - I really only got the psp to play mlb and then hoped to find other cool games along the way.
My problem is that I've tried EVERYTHING to get mlb to work and NOTHING has worked. I've read every thread about mlb on this forum and others, tried about 50 different suggestions and methods and none of them work. I have the ISO from newzbin, as well as one I ripped myself from fastloader. I also have the ind-mlb06fix.rar with the 3 prx files. Every solution I try fails and I'm getting to the point where I'm ready to just update to 2.6. All i want to do is play this ONE game and I can't.
I'm going to format my memory card and start over. Can someone please take the time to walk me through a sure fire process for getting this to work with the ripped iso and the ind-mlb06fix.rar prx files? You'll keep one more 1.5 firmware in the world :)
Thanks

OK ok DO NOT UPDATE I have this game working 100% perfect you know without online cause iso dont have wifi suppory yet but thats coming. Ok the three prx files in the moduoles folder in mlb after you extract the iso are the folders you need to change. You can get the files to replace them from Star Wars Battlefront 2 or I can send them to u. When you are going to change the files with the new ones you have to copy and paste each one into mlb. You cannot just drag and drop. The rebuild the iso with umd gen. After shrink the new rebuilt iso with dax, and boot with dax on your psp using System Menu-runumd, and ram on or off try both one works it's just i dont have the iso on my psp i have pursuit force. If anything doesn't make sense tell me. I DO NOT WANT YOU TO UPGRADE BECAUSE IS WAY TO EASY TO SOLVE, AND TO HAVE A BENNIFIT OF A 2GB STICK>

Yo pieceful that method doesnt work because u can't load mlb 06 with mph loader, runumd or any other program until u change those prx files. Other wise u get a black screen.

ya man the isos good just something might be wrong along the path. Hmm locking up and no buttons and no saving. You might have an iso that had stuff taken out. Try using a full and starting over cause I havent had ne probs. Or what I read in psphacks u might of dragged the prx files in not copy and pasted them.

are you able to save a season with your working copy? i used an iso off the newsgroups but i also ripped the umd i rented from gamefly. i wonder if deleting the update folder makes a difference.
i tried this with the full fixed iso and the full fixed iso daxed and neither let me save

Ya do not remove anything from the game mlb. Have the full iso which is like 1.8gb I think. Only replace the prx files. The shrinker I used was dax 5.1 at setting of 0 and just hit start. Then I boot with dax 5.1 iso loader with system menu-runumd, and ram off. Then I just opened with runumd and it loads my career and everything up fine. The save/load works fine right from my iso, and I have been playing a season since sunday.

Ok lets talk about getting this thing to run on runumd.
Whenever I use daxiso on system menu - runumd, i get to runumd and when i hit x, it freezes and my psp turns off
which version of runumd are you running and do i need to do any tweaking within the files of the psp to get it to run on runumd.
i say this because i repacked the iso with the update folder back in and it still won't save at all - this is with copy load or load exec settings in daxiso
finally, what are your daxiso settings for this? i'm using...
333/166 mhz
copy load but will switch to system menu - run umd when i can get it to work
use boot.bin - off
flash 0 off
flash1 off
ram off
thanks again for your help - so close
