Could it be that i have a 1720 immenent failure message that appears just before windows start is why i could be having problems encoding some movies. Hdd brand new as in a few weeks old but just started to happen. What does that mean and is it. or could it be my prob

That message indicates the HD is getting ready to die. I would get it replaced under warranty. Remember to back up your data now
