I d/l the bundle xcopy and Xpress. I updated Aspi and Divx. (Win98 here). Xcopy works perfectly. Express launches and I get "can not write archive.txt" Then I get Xpress error:XPRESS caused an invalid page fault in
module XPRESS.EXE at 0197:0041b634.

This is just a guess, but here goes:

Win98 uses FAT32 file structure; which does not support files bigger than 4 GB. Maybe this program is creating files bigger than that as it compiles the DVD?

I don't think it's a matter of space...I have 45 GB in the temp drive it's supposed to use. Xcopy works fine, it's just Xpress.

That's not what I'm saying.

It doesn't matter if you have a terabyte of free space, if this program creates a file bigger than 4 GB, Windows 98 won't be able to handle it.

But then, wouldn't I have the same problem with DVD Xcopy? No problem with that program.

Does this new software list Windows 98 as a supported O/S?

I know some people use Win98. I also know that many more have upgraded to 2000/XP since getting their DVD burners because of the 4 gig issue.
