car.mike,
thank you so much for your detailed tutorial it worked perfectly...

Now can anyone please tell me why it does not work for Diary of a Mad Black Woman? I tried to burn it through dvd shrink, xcopy and tried to decrypt it and just keeps freezing on the same segment..please help if you can.

Run the file through free program VobBlanker

Then try the process with Shrink. You can get it here

http://jsoto.posunplugged.com/vobblanker.htm

If you are getting erros on your rip however, check and make sure you do not have a scratched or damaged disk. Try cleaning it and if it still does not work then take it back for another original

Just to add-on to what buddy "arniebear" had mentioned including the picture. Use the below method and you'll be a happy camper, especially if you don't owned AnyDVD or other cracking engines.

<< FREE method to rip and backup any dvds/movies >>

(1) DVDFAB Decrypter - rip the movie into your hard drive first
(2) VobBlanker - process the VIDEO_TS.IFO file for security purpose (it will fix any invalid structural or fake dummy cells)
(3) DVD Shrink - transcode as usual
(4) DVD Decrypter or ImgBurn - to burn (ISO Image only)

NOTE: when you get to step #2 or VobBlanker, do as the following steps:

(A) INPUT = browse/locate your already ripped VIDEO_TS.IFO file from hard drive

(B) OUTPUT = create another VIDEO_TS folder in your hard drive (Example: if HOSTEL is the movie you're trying to rip and process, then make a new folder name VOB_HOSTEL and a sub-folder name VIDEO_TS inside VOB_HOSTEL, so it should be: VOB_HOSTEL\VIDEO_TS for the OUTPUT.)

(C) click "PROC.ALL" at the RIGHT
(D) click "PROCESS" at the bottom

Now sit tight, relax, wait until VobBlanker is successfully completed -- VobBlanker should take only 5 minutes to process any left over junks, fake pgc and invalid structural, etc. Once VobBlanker is done, it should created a newly/fresh file or folder into VOB_HOSTEL\VIDEO_TS. Just load/import this VIDEO_TS file into DVD Shrink and continue on with your usual transcoding process.

That's it.... it's all FREE and easy as sippin' on a Corona. Best of lucks to you and happy burning. Now-a-days, I highly recommend you rip, process and backup with this "simple/basic guide" and I GUARANTEE YOU 100% that you'll be able to successfully rip and backup any movies/dvds, regardless if it's encrypted with ARccOS or RipGuard.

NOTE: I recommend you TURN OFF DVD43, AnyDVD or other cracking engines that's running in the background, if you're "ripping" any movie(s) with DVDFAB Decrypter (the latest) -- the same thing apply to VobBlanker, when you're "processing" the "VIDEO_TS.IFO" file through VobBlanker. This way, it won't trigger or cause any errors in results.

WARNING: Do not "update/upgrade" your SAMSUNG BD-D5XXX series (Bluray Player), or else you cant enjoy any of your movie files.
