Lots of deals like this seem to be around for Philips hub-printables: http://www.supermediastore.com/philips-white-inkjet-hub-printable...

Given that Philips is new to the printable arena I'm wondering if there's any chance that these might be decent media (as opposed to the CMC garbage they were putting out the last time I foolishly picked up a pack). Has anyone bought these new hub-printables and, if so, what's the code on them? I don't suppose they could possibly be TYs or Verbs...

In the ad it states that they are made by Philips .. that would indicate one of the following codes ..
PhilipsC08 ...  http://www.videohelp.com/dvdmedia.php?dvdmediadvdridsearch=PHILIP...

OR

Philips081 ...  http://www.videohelp.com/dvdmedia.php?dvdmediadvdridsearch=Philip...

Usually printable media carries the same codes as the non-printable stuff .. after all, all we're worried about is the recording surface with a DVD burner

Thanks, Catfreak. Of course it's the underside that counts. Those are some scary brands (HP, Teon,Khypermedia, Memorex,...). In the past I've bought small amounts of each and been very disappointed, but I think they were always CMC. I think I'll steer away from Philips codes unless someone tells me they're great (those videohelp.com votes are mixed and not plentiful), and it's unlikely that will happen.

Always looking for a cheaper alternative, but for now I'll stick with that great surface that comes on Verb printables.
