PS2 Online Network Error

I'm new to forums so please bare with me. I have a PS2 with PS2 network adapter screwed on tightly. Have a network cable connected to my LAN. The light comes on and recognizes the PS2, but I try to setup my network connection through PS2, it reads "network error -603." I have connected my PS2 and was able to setup a configuration connecting directly to the the cable modem. I then deleted that network configuration and connected it back to the LAN and to no avail I got the network error again. What am I doing wrong?

the only thing i can tell u is ethr u dont have cables n rigt plac or not in at all thats wat 603 is

Check you don't have a firewall/router/ISP blocking ports.

How do I check if the "firewall/router/ISP blocking ports". I've tried to configure the router by typing 192.168.1.1 in IE, but I'm never able to connect to my router.

Wierd you said -603 dnas error. I can't find that anywhere. Check this site for all dnas errors and their definitions: http://www.drrockit.com/exec/version?name=PS2+Online+DNAS+error+c... . They don't have that error on their list. Can't hlp you anymore than that. Just try and figure out what -603 error is.

I looked at that website before and many others and I couldn't find anything on it before. I followed my routers info to try and configure and I can't even do that.
