Firstly, I have version C (1.52). Will I be able to downgrade to version 1.50, or can I only do that from 2.0?
Secondly, What kinds of memory sticks can the PSP take? Im guessing only Memory Stick Pro and Memory Stick Pro Duo right?
Thirdly, Im looking for a clear plastic guard to put over it, which stays on all the time even when your playing. Does anyone have one? I would like to know if they impede your ability to play, as in can you still access the buttons and so on, or does it make it much harder.
and bookmark that link. There are a lot of tools on that site with which you will be able to hack your psp; things you'll need more and more once you figure out how the PSP works with hacks and whatnot. Now go ahead and bookmark these next two as well, if you haven't already:
These are two best and most thorough homebrew sites around. I have been doing the PSP homebrew thing for like a year now, so I know how to do most everything. You can email me at grin.ch@libero.it if you have any further questions.
Secondly, the PSP can take 3 different kinds of memory sticks. One I forgot the name, but you can search these forums, the other two are sony and SanDisk. SanDisk is much better and faster as far as data transfer times. I viewed a study taken on the two diff cards and SanDisk even outperformed the sony high speed MS (memory stick).
Thirdly, you CAN find a clear plastic guard; check gameSTOP or gameSPOT and you'll be able to find a non-flex case that goes over your PSP and yes, you can play with the guard on. You can also check like Target and Best Buy if you're in the United States. a/f/a it being harder to play, I don't know.
and finally, you'll need DEVHOOK 0.22. After set up is complete, you will have linked all of these to work together. Sounds overwhelming, but it's really easy. Just follow the tutorials.
you don't actually do anything to set devhook up with umd emulator and the fried up browser, it is automatic. I don't know how or why, but it doesn't work right if you don't have devhook.
and one more help just b/c I like to help ppl and I have good links. This is KXploit, PSPBrew, PBPUnpacker and an Organizer all in one called pBpMaker. don't know what those other programs are? Just ask anyone who does, and they'll want this program:
