Pioneer A05 and CD-RW?

This is a weird problem I have been having. My burner has worked flawlessly up until now. Today I tried to erase a CD-RW to re-write it and I have put in 5 different brands of CD-RW and it says for each of them that they are not re-writable disks, and thus can't be erased?? I have tried nero, easy cd creator, stomp and instant cd+dvd (VOB), but they all give me the same error. Is my drive bunk? Is there a way around this? Is this just the way it is going to be??? BTW- I have it flashed with the modified 1.30.
