Hi all I have a dvd version of flight of the navigator and it has a small picture with two large black strips across the bottom and the top is there anyway i can re-edit this and make the movie proportionate to the tv screen. I have tried to change it but just end up with more on the sides also. I am kind of new to this and any help would be very nice. thanks in advance

no mikie thats part of the movie, haven't heard of anyone
here being able to do that...............

what i try to do is get the "Full Frame" version of it.

i don't like that either, but that's what the studios are
doing now..............................

You can do this but you would have to re encode the entire movie. Plus it would crop out part of the picture. More trouble than
its worth.

Your dvd player might allow you to zoom in enough to show less of the black bars without hiding the sides too much. My Panasonic is good for this but I've actually gotten used to the 16:9 aspect ratio and prefer it to full screen movies now.

Yes, try using your zoom feature. It will enlarge the display, but you will loose some of the movie on both sides of the frame.
