Is there any way to put copyright protection on DVD movies you make from files on your hard drive? Is there any program or something? I ask this because I recently made a DVD from files on my computer(using Nero) and when I put it in my DVD player it worked fine, but when I put it in a PS2, it wouldn't work. I believe this is because the PS2 only plays DVDs with copyright protection. Or is there any other reason?
This is off topic a little bit, but here goes. What I do, which isn't for my PS2 but for my costumers is this. First, rip the contents of my movie to HDD. Then I use Nero to put the main movie to disc. Second, while the main title is on disc, I then use Recode to put the main title AND put viruses on it. That way, if anyone tries to copy it, they suffer! This won't help you, but it will for anyone else who has this problem.
I think I figured out why the disc wont play. Its because my PS2 is a SCPH-30001 and it doesnt play DVD-R,-RW,+R. You must have a PS2 SCPH-3900x or later which does play them(source: http://db.gamefaqs.com/console/ps2/file/playstation2_a.txt ). Oh well, I guess I'll have to get another DVD player then.
