I've got a big craving for some sweet Castlevania SOTN lovin. One of my favorite PSX/GBA games. Since I know there are no PSX emulators (though hopefully soon with Sony's future plans to release them for download) I'm hoping that one of you might know of a great prog for playing GBA games on PSP. I think I remember trying one of them I found a few months back with terrible results. Has the scene added any GBA goodness since then?

unfortunatly they arent really ppl working on the gba emu scene hardcore. coding an emu to run a gba game full speed is much arder than it sounds.

Nah man, srry. Thus far only lagging programs, even cracked you're not gonna get the full optimal gameplay. It kinda seems (from what I've seen at least) that no one is really paying attention to the GBA scene and everyone is focusing on other things. IMO the GBA emulator that works fully w/ sound and frames AND also doesn't eat too much battery will be the biggest break through of PSP history call me crazy. But once again, it seems like no one is really looking at that and people are looking more into other things like the N64 emulator (or trying it, which I still don't see how it's possible to run on a PSP). Looks like you're gonna have to sit this one out bro :/

You can find some emulators (in general) @ www.pspupdates.qj.net but once again they lag big time so IMO not even worth transferring the thing

well the psp doesn't have enough resources to run a full speed gba emulator.

Couldn't they just convert the Visual Boy Advance (windows) for a PSP or is it harder then it seems?

much harder than it seems, see a computer has more resources, remember that the emulator itself takes resources cause the game isnt being run directly, its being emulated

Sorry to be off topic, but you know the SNES 9x emulator, have you ever tried it cause I have and it is quite slow unless its the game. IS this normal or is it just cause the emulator isnt fully compatible? I downloaded the Update version of the SNES 9x by a different programer.

Frame skip makes it bad, I'll just wait for a stable emulator for snes :), any emulators that are stable and play normal speed?

i think tyl is better, but it depends on the game, what game are you trying to play. cause some games play ok while others are hell.
good luck on waiting for a stable emulator. it took a while to get an almost full speed snes emulator for the x-box.. so idk if we will see one for the psp.

I don't see the problem, I've tried countless games like Mario all stars and the rest, but there quite slow. But still I don't see the problem, the SNES is much inferrior to the PSP yet people can't crack it. And how do you make a EBOOT for PSP? I want to see how people make it and that.
