i used to be able to play dvd's, got a mod chip, now i cant. Is there any way to reverse this ie. is there a chip you can get that can let you play dvd's as well? or am i stuffed.

by cant play dvds what exactly happens? does it go to the RSOD or what? you may have one of a few types of modchip installed that need you to first insert the disc into your console, standby it, then hold the reset but for 3-4 seconds till the blue dot/light things come up. This makes modchips like the magic 3.1 and others switch to DVD video mode, and PS1 game mode.

the screen says something along the lines of no data when i try to play any dvd
