I just got the program the other day and am having some trouble. As soon as I open it I get a message about how the software has detected that the following engines have not been installed or installed improperly, the corresponding format cannot be converted and it lists quicktime player 6.5 codec or higher under the list. I don't see how quicktime is even involved with this program since it can only convert to avi or wmv. I do have quicktime 7 installed and it works properly so I'm not sure what that's about.

the big problem is though when I export something like a VOB file to avi, I don't get picture in the export, just sound. In their help it says for this problem:

"Please check if you are using a NVidia video card. If so, you might have enabled the full screen video, which would prevent you from converting the video image. So just close the option "full screen video" In addition, you should download a k-lite codec package from http://www.free-codecs.com/download/K_Lite_Codec_Pack.htm to your system."

where do I find this full screen video option and is it safe to install a codec package like the one mentioned?
