I recently bought a v14 slimline ps2 and I installed the magic keys 2 correctly...however none of my backups will play....they all load up but when they get to a certain loading screen it either freezes or skips a lot...I am using DVD+R's and the media I use are usually Phillips or Memorex...could this have something to do with it?? My old fat ps2 plays almost all of my backups fine...please help! thanx!

in my experience ps2's prefer DVD-R (i have seen freezing/skipping games even with v14 using dvd+r) either try DVD-R or try booktyping the +r discs when you burn them (if your burner supports booktyping).
Philips & memorex are not the best media either & could cause these problems, try some taiyo yuden, verbatims or sony (made in japan) discs.
