I'm sorry if this has been answered. If so, please direct me to the right link. I've searched a lot but I can't seem to find the answer.
I see a lot of posts about the proper media for burning PS2 DVDs but nothing stating exaclty what kind of media is best for PSX CD burns. Can someone give me a hand?
I've got a couple of torrents but I also want to back up some old PSX discs I have so what program works best for all this?
Try Alcohol 120%. I used that for my PlayStation backup(shown in my sig), and it works no problem(except for the disc spinning at an exaggerated speed, which is maybe too fast for a PlayStation CD-ROM). When you burn an image, on the bottom of the window "Prepare your CD/DVD Recorder", right after choosing your disc image, there is a selection tab labeled as "Datatype". Select "PlayStation" and burn your disc using media from Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim at 2X or 4X. Hope that helps.

I've used Alcohol and followed all the instructions. Still won't work. Which is why I think it might be my discs. They are silver faced Verbatim's made in India. Not the blue/purple type. But I can't seem to find anything on this forum that says which CD-R are best for PSX burning on a PS2.
