DVD Sant fails when encoding but only on some files?

Hi, I am using DVD Santa to encode and burn but with some files AVI (not all) I get a programme has encountered an error message and it needs to close. The problem is definately associated with the files as they always fail but ones which do encode always work ?

I can play the failing AVI files on my PC no problem.

Can anyone help?
