EUR or USA games, any difference?

I am a total psp noob. I got a psp as a gift from my boyfriend and i was wondering what the difference is between EUR and USA games? I mean if i got a psp here from the usa, then i assume i can only play usa games right? Maybe playing EUR games will have a black and white screen and no colour?

Nope, sony chose not to region code the games for psp, so that means any game from any country can work on any psp, but its the umd movies that are region locked..

well jask is right for the most part, but region does come into play with isos. for instance the exit us iso doesnt work but the jap one does.
umd games like he said are region free.
