I was wondering if its possbile to change the formats of a divx movie to play on a dvd player. and if so can someone tell me where there is a place that can give me specific directions on how to. thanks

Ye you can make vcd/svcd http://www.afterdawn.com/articles

Or if you have a video card that supports tv out you can plug it into your tv and watch it like that!!

First convert your Divx(Avi) with TMPgenc to DVD fomat (mpeg).
Use TMPGenc DVD authoring to convert the mpeg into VIDEO_TS structure.
Burn with Nero.
I did Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.
Works fine !

Wiz, for a divx I wouldnt even recommend bothering wasting a dvd-r doing that cause the quality isnt going to improve if you're encoding svcd the right way!

the thing is my dvd player (standalone) wont play cds or svcd so i have to do dvd
