Samsung DVR 4000 DVD recorder

I just recently backed up a copy of King Kong I have using DVD shrink. I went to play it in my Samsung recorder and it says this disk cannot be played in your region. I looked at the manual for the recorder and it says Region 1 and all. Tried backing it up both ways with the same results. Burned the disk at 8X and also used dvd-r discs HP disks. I have backed up other dvd's and have not had a problem. This is the first I ran into a problem with, what am I doing wrong.
