Well depending on your specs maybe. What are they?
Let's check and make sure you are in dma mode and not the slow pio mode also. Here's a guide if needed:

Yes. CPU speed and RAM are the key factors in how fast the system will run transcoding. There's other factors, but those are the main ones. So, supply the system specs if you want a time guesstimate.

From what I can decipher I'm thinking 1-1/2 hr approx. Make sure your are not multi tasking and shut down any unncessary processes.
You might also try disconnecting from the interent and shutdown any virus protection. Turn turn back on when done.

Way to go. Now you won't have to worry about running out of usable RAM. 512MB is getting to be a real world minimum nowadays for an XP system. Even with 1GB I was running out of RAM unless I turned some background apps off. Instead of that, I put in 2GB and don't have to worry about it.

I get software all over the place, online and at retail outlets. Mostly online and no particular place. I just shop for the best deal on the app I want. With a lot of programs, you can download a trial to see if the app is going to do what you expected.

BTW, you're welcome.
