Hi all, first thx to all that post, I have learned a lot. I am a complete noob to the ps2, and just bought SM 3.6 and fliptop for v12. After receiving my pstwo, i found out it was really a v14. Will my SM and fliptop still work for the v14? Also, I was looking at swapmagicfix.com, and had a question about a fix(cdloaded v7). Do i just burn the CUE with nero and use it after i load the SM disc? Thx for help.

Since the fliptop you bought was for another slimline, that should work just fine on your v14. Swap Magic works in all systems, it's just the hardware that changes from v1-11 to v12-14.
As for CDLoader, you burn the cue file with Nero or some other burner program, and then load it up with Swap Magic CD (or DVD if you have DVDLoader). Press X to select special boot options (such as 5v3 no PN). Then you EJECT CDLoader and put in Swap Magic CD or DVD, depending on if you want to play a CD or DVD game. Then it will tell you to put in a DVDR by EA method. Now you use your fliptop cover to replace SM with your game of choice. Press X, enjoy!

thx a lot sparky. U also ansewerd my next question, what i do when a fix says something like 5v3 no PN. I know this was a complete noob question, appreciate ur help!
