Hi there guys, i sent my PS2 away to be chipped and the guy fitted it with a Matrix Infinity 1.54 Codename Modbo 2.1 (that is what he sent on the email)
Now im told this chip works with Action Replay - Mine does not. So ive been browsing to see if there is an upgrade because apparently it is flashable. But im reading some stuff about there being cloned chips and upgrading with the wrong stuff will fry the PS2 etc. Can someone help me and point me in the right direction.
Many thanks
Craig

hi,
yeah you're wright, you will fry your PS2 if it's cloned and you are uprgrading the firmware.
I think you have the Mobdo (that is not matrix infinity, just a good clone of it).

So i advice you to not upgrade the chip;).

thank you all

i don't know why you wanna use action replay.
Modbo 2.1 should boot back-ups automaticly.

thank you all

i assume so he can use cheats with back up discs.

But only certain chips can do this, i just don't think a clone chip would but someone may know a special process for doing it.

yeah thats right mate. I hear there is a swap magic way but that seems rather long winded and defeating the purpose of a chip. lol.
Cheers for the help though guys!
