This my second thread, and after reading many threads on this forum, I again get confused from so much info? also I am type of person that likes to understand everything and have everything simplified in to steps before trying?
I did get 1.5 firmware PSP, and then you for everyone helping me with this? I was able to get some ISO backups running with out problems, usually trying several loaders and some of them work some of them don?t? I am ready to take another step towards running 2.x games on 1.5 firmware?. So I have several questions?
1. I have read about bricking PSP, and other damaging things that can happened to your PSP, is this only from running original UMD?s or is this possible from ISO? If it is from ISO, does it give you some notice/warning that will upgrade, and which point you can stop or not?
2. Is there some list of all 2.x games that do not load with conversional methods?
3. if there is a list, does one method works for all of them?
4. As a staring point of having ISO, what is the best way to get them working, step by step, if you can please indicate required/optional steps, since I would not probably try to sharing ISO for starters, just would like to get hem working
5. I say that there is RunUMD method and also some other methods? I assume that running RunUMS you can only put one game on memory?
Thanks, and I am hoping to build some kind of master/main thread for loading all 2.* games on 1.5? so everyone can have one source to get them running as easily as possible?
Thanks again?

There are already "master threads" out there listing compatability of 2.xx games on 1.5. They're everywhere just do a search. I'll try and answer some of your questions if I can.
First of all, don't worry about ISO's bricking you psp. If you ripped the game yourself from the UMD then you'll want to remove the updates anyway. If you got it from somewhere else then its probably already ripped. And yes, it does warn you before it upgrades your firmware.
Like you, I have many 2.xx dumps and I love to play all of them. I have yet to find a game that straight up will not work on 1.5. I know that there are some but I have been really lucky with the ones that I have picked.
Usually what I do when I find a game that I want to play is first to do a search on the forums for that game specifically and find a thread where someone explaines how to get it running. There is always somebody, somewhere that has already gone through what you are going through and made it work.
I like your idea of an entire thread with detailed instructions for each game. It would have to have lots of input from the scene though. Maybe I'll get that thread going and see what happens

Yes you are right, I did try searching and there is a lot of info there, there are many different methods and lot of people have there own opening, and that is exactly what is making it hard?. That is why I am trying to make this some how simple, so who ever is looking to run this, can find it in thread, simple, easy to use, step by step? like internet, there is tons of info there, but I would like through this thread to get clean, up to date, easy to use information?so if anyone is interested please post up, starting with name of the game, and easy steps indicating what is options and what is not, from common starting point ISO? thanks,?.

Yeah, Kafluke has pretty much the answers there. I also like your master thread idea, good luck!
Edit - ill help you with a game: PQ: Practical Intelligence (chose this game because its the hardest iv come across, so far)
Basically, you load it like any other ISO, apart from it needs to be run with MPHgameloader, otherwise you cant save.

Thanks for info, it is good starting point, I was just looking in to how to load GTA, and is ever confusing, so many different options, and I am not sure even if they work or not? I have tried couple but always run in to problems, I think that is why it is important to create one thread with simple instructions and explanations on how to?

Dude, you missed the point of the thread. That is a great thread that you mentioned but it gives you generic instructions to apply to all games. The reason for my thread is to be a place where you can go and find specific detailed instructions for each game.
