Hey all, just found this site and joined. I tried searching forums for help but wasn't very successful. I was wondering if any of you could help a noob out here. I really want to buy some of those sweet looking Japanese-only Naruto Gamecube releases, but I'm not sure if my North American-version Gamecube could play them? Would I need to mod? Thanx!

you can also get a boot disc and buy the original japanese games instead of using back-ups.....

where could i get a boot disc? would you recommend backups or boot discs?

If all you want to do is play imports, get either Action Replay or Freeloader.

Make sure you check for compatibility with your GameCube though. Some of the platinum GameCubes don't work well with Freeloader and AR, so mod chips are your only option.

thnx again for the help. i found a great deal for a panasonic q already mudded to play both us and japanese games, so i think i'm going to just buy it. otherwise i'm going to get freeloader.
