I've download a PS2 game and extract it, trying to burn it on DVD using "Nero StartSmart 7" but when I finish burning it and put it in PS2 to play...it not working say there is error in CD.
plz help T_T
TELL ME:-
what type CD/DVD to use?
what program to use in burning CD/DVD?
you can use either, i prefer DVD Decrypter but if you use the image burning option in Nero it will work too.
8X DVD-R is a good type
Verbatim, Taiyo Yuden,
Maxcell or Sony (made in Japan only!) are some good brands to try
it would help if you gave more info.
what brand and speed is the DVD you used
what game is it
what type of file was it (ISO, MDF)
what modification does your PS2 have to be able to load back ups
Thank you for "connolly & steimy" for helping me :)
I used "sony DVD-RW" 2x/1x min 120 4.7 GB made in Taiwan
The game is: Fatal Frame PS2 NTSC USA
The type of file is ISO, the size of file= 2.56 GB
How can I know: "what modification does your PS2 have to be able to load back ups"
To play back-ups you need a modification to the console. Either Discs like Swap Magic or a chip installed inside. If you have neither of these you are banging your head against a brick wall my friend.
Yes, RW discs rarely if ever work for backing up games.
the modifications you can use are as follows.
Chunky older style PS2:
Swap Magic & Slidecard
Swap Magic & fliptop case
Good Modchip (DMS4 Pro or Matrix Infinity) and should be installed by a professional
Slimline PSTwo:
Swap Magic & aftermarket Fliptop (not the one it came with)
Swap Magic and Magic Switch (aka magic keys, slimtool, ghost switch)
or of course the mod chips mentioned above.
Note not all modchips are alike so if you go this route then do your research, you get what you pay for. If you buy a $20 modchip instead of a $50 mod chip you will soon realize why it was so cheap.
