hey, can anybody suggest a good retail brand blank dvd+r or blank dvd dual layer. I'm presently trying to burn a movie .iso image. I'm using DVD Decrypter to do it, but it's not reconiziing(thats spelled wrong for sure lol)my blank dvd dual layers dvds(both verbatim and memorex), I have a Benq dual dw610 DVDRW burner with the latest firmware. The message on DVD Decrypter is it shows the default idle message "device not ready(medium not present)". I suspect that my my brand of blank dl dvds are not compatible. BTW I tried looking for a DVD Decrypter dedicated forum and here is where I found, if anybody knows if any such place exist could you tell me plz. I'm not sure if anyone here is still using dvd decrypter to burn .iso movie images if you are could you please help and tell what brand of blank dvds you use that have worked. thx

You nearly got the solution yourself when you said "I suspect that my my brand of blank dl dvds are not compatible". You're right, they aren't. In fact this writer does not support DL discs at all, so you'll need to get one that does before you'll have any success burning them.

I think Jigen is correct about your drive.... it is not a DL drive. And your model .... is it the BenQ DW1610? you wrote dw610.....I didn't see that listed!

Also if you like DVDDecrypter to burn ISO files then you will love IMGBurn made by the same guy and it's updated, too!
