Ok i have a maxtor 120 gb hard drive in the ps2 and a network adapter. I loaded hd loader and formated the drive. My ? being, i have iso on my laptop that i want on the ps2 hard drive. What kind of cable do i use with a lan connection, and how do i make the lan connection or set it up. would i just use a ethernet cable from my laptop to the ps2 network adapter and transefer that way. And if I did it that way what program would I use. Overall how is the best way to transfer games to the ps2 through a lan connection. I have a wireless connection also

You'll need to mount this as a virtual DVD or something first... use a daemon tool or if you have Nero use the Nero ImageDrive

Directly from the laptop to the PS2 you'll need a cross over cable.

Try Winhiip or HDL dumb (you can get them from http://www.sksapps.com/index.php?page=hd.html), now I am not sure how to do this as I have never done it before myself, but you can easily find tutorials on how to do that in this forum. Otherwise here's a link you might like to have a look: http://www.exploitstation.com/articles/hdl_net_inst/hdloader.html

If I was you, forget LAN transfer.
Buy a USB to IDE adapter cable,(should also come with a power supply for the HDD.
Take the HDD out of your PS2.
Plug it into the USB adaptor cable, plug in the power and hey presto, a usb mass storage device is recognised (WINDOWS XP)
You will still need Winhiip (there are others but I find it the best)
Open that program and there will be a menu to select the HDD identified on your machine.
Select the iso of the game you want to transfer and that its. Takes about 4 minutes. (much faster & easier to set-up than LAN)
I'm not even sure if HDLoader supports that method of transfer, but HDAdvance 3.0 does.

PC Specs: CPU-C2D E8400, M/B-P5N-E SLI, RAM 4Gig OCZ Platinum rev2 ,VGA- Nvidia 8800GT 512MB, HDD- Hitachi Deskstar SATAII 1TB, 250Gig Maxtor IDE HDD.
Corsair HX520 PSU, Liteon Lightscribe DVD Writer, Pioneer BluRay drive.
