The features look ok, but if I were you I'd spend the money and get a Matrix Infinity or DMS4, it'll be well worth the money, but then, if you are just going to play backups and don't care about others (e.g. homebrew etc), then yeah, its cheap and it'll do the job :)

As far as installing goes, if you are not confident with soldering, then I suggest you get someone experienced to do it, it'll cost a bit, but you know your PS2 will be in good hands, and you won't risk killing your PS2 if you do it yourself.

there are good reasons that those clone chips are so cheap. Save your money and get a good one. If you are going to get your system chipped you might as well get it done right.

buy what you want. i was just providing you with information.
But then do not come crying here in the forums when you find out the modbo is not all is claims to be.
The modbo has a 512KB flash memory which i suppose can be used for homwbrew apps, with whatever is left and not taken up by the Bios it runs on.
The DMS4 Pro has a 2MB flash memory that i know you can load homebrew apps on.
I try to tell people all the time, when it comes to chips you get what you pay for. But they never seem to listen and always want the cheapest way out.

You can save your homebrew onto your memory card, and not just the chip's memory, it certainly would be if your modchip have the ability to load homebrews from say your memory card though (DEV1 mode)

If you are just looking to play backups and nothing else, and you don't want to pay that extra for a good chip (which, I think is a good investment anyway), then the modbo should do (although some will disagree), but if you think there's a chance you'll do more than just playing backups, then you should really look into spending that extra bit of money and get a good chip.
