Best mod chip, but reasonable price?

Now, I am pretty new at this stuff. A mod chip is needed to play backed up games right? If so, then what is the best chip to buy for a reasonable price?? Thanks in advance. I will appreciate anything.

if you want the best chips you are just going to have to pay the price. They are about $50
DMS4 Pro or Matrix Infinity
I have heard that the Crystal Chip is also good and about $10 less

You get what you pay for, buy a $20 or $30 chip and you will most likely be sorry later.

ask around about the Duo chips, i have never had one for the PS2, but i have one in my Xbox and love it, and they are a little cheaper, but do not have all the features and free upgrades like the more expensive chips i listed do.
