Nope, you have to use a Wifi dongle or a Wireless Router.

Yes you can go online from a hotspot. What firmware version do you have? Because if you have firmware 1.5 and go to a hotspot that has WPA encryption, then you can't use it. Firmware 1.5 only supports WEP encryption.
