just ordered a dms4 EZI light. I checked i have a v7 ps2. I am along time xbox guy so i have some knowledge about stuff. But my question is what do i do after i install this chip? do i have to flash it with a bios of some sort and can some one point me in the right direction if i need to? I really want to play initial d arcade stage that is the whole reason i bought the ps2. Let me know thanks in advance.

I think you will need the ToxicOS V0.41 for that
I know that is what the regular DMS4 Pro (soldered in) chip takes.
Be very,very careful when installing it, many people break them or install them wrong and end up losing their money.
for the flash:
Download it from the above site, unzip the file to get the Bin & Cue file.
Burn the cue file to a CD and play it in the PS2 and it will flash the chip.

P.S. remove your email it is against forum rules. And there are bots that search the net for people who post them and companies will spam you to death.

You won't be able to use ToxicOS, you'll have to use ToxicBIOS (OS isn't supported on the Lite). I had the Lite before I upgraded to the Pro, so here's what you'll find:
You'll need either the DMS HD Loader software or a memory card exploit to boot off the Hard Drive (the Lite doesn't support booting directly without some other type of media).

Everything you'll ever need to know about your chip is on the site below:

sorry, i missed the "light" part
That is correct, the toxicBIOS is for the light.

But the BIOD doesn't have nearly the amount of HDD functions that
the ToxicOS for the DMS4 Pro has.

well i got it all figured out.
that was super easy to do.
i did it all on almost my first time!
the only problem i had was with the eject cable add on thingy. and that was easly fixed!
