How to play a Xvid file in a Divx player?

Hi there....i was wondering if someone could help me out in playing a Xvid movie file, which i downloaded from kazaa, to play in a Divx player 2.1. The file does play on the Windows Media Player, but i prefer Divx. I tried the four CC changer, but that doesn't work, the file still doesn't play in the divx player. If anyone can help me out, that'll be great.

The DIVX and XVID codecs are not compatible as there would be no point in having two different formats, so the DIVX player will not recognise it - sorry mate.

If you haven't already , download Koepi's Xvid Codec here: http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/codecs_and_filters/xvid.cfm

This DOES play in WindowsMedia Player after install (in Program Files).
