Hello my ps2 slim wont spin. I tried installing the magic key set and the 3rd piece was giving me problems, I took it off and now when i turn off the lid even with the lid closed it wont spin any games. It just goes straight to the browser screen. I know its not the laser because that doesnt even move at all it just doesnt try to read the disc at all.
i had the probelm as well. Ewen though this is ghetto, if u want to trick that sensor, use this thread. If not, stop being a cheap ass and buy a chip :)
no thats not it, i have the kit. The problem is that even after i removed all the items and stuff, my ps2 wont spin. I think i broke something because it wont even play my regular games or even try to read the disc it just stays frozen without spinning.

I won't make a new thread since this is similar. I got a new clear case for the slim PS2 and Swap Magic and I broke the rear lid sensor off. What can I do to fix it? Can I Solder it back on?
Just bought the swap magic 3 plus followed all the instructions on fitting, but now i cant load up back up disks or my originals! I have noticed that the disk is not spinning does any one have any ideas???
The disk is not spinning because the flip top is not making contact with the sensors. Make sure the flip top is installed correctly. If the sensors are still not pushed down, boot up the swap magic disk and GENTLY put pressure on top of the flip top and see if the disk begins to be read. If it does, this means it is definitely the sensors. Like in my first post, open the ps2 and put a piece of thick tape over the rear sensor and a piece of tissue paper in the hole where the front cover opens. This will solve the problem.
