Of all the video game to film translations, do you believe there is at least one that you like? I really liked Mortal Kombat, but that's just me.

In my opinion, the acting comes off as cheesy, 90% of the time.

I saw Mortal Kombat and Resident Evil.

My friend like Mortal Kombat so much, he watched it twice in a row at the theater. My Dad and the same friend loved Resident Evil.

There's definitely a niche for them.

I liked the first Mortal Kombat better than the 2nd because the second one had different caracters for some of the people.

I liked both Resident Evil movies

Also Doom wasnt very bad either.

But my all time favorite Movie based on a game (even though now it doesnt seem as good as some movies graphic wise) is The Mario Brothers Movie.

I pledge allegiance to the Cheese Clan,
and to all those who made it true,
a group of people for which it stands,
one clan under any god,individually,
with chunky cheese curds and cheese nips for all.

Super Mario Brothers Movie - Good for it's time.
Mortal Kombat - Decent, can't watch it too many times (and goro sucked)
Mortal Kombat Annihilation - Sucked IMO
Resident Evil - Not shabby
Resident Evil Apocalypse - Not too bad
Doom - Not shabby
Silent Hill - Owned the hell out of all them. (have played and beaten 4 outta 5 of the games) it got a 1.5star from the local paper but their retards, and the theatre was packed for all showings opening night of us gamer nerds.

Doom wasn't too bad, but Resident Evil sucked. As a fan of the series I believe they should have made a more simple storyline. Milla Jovovich's character is all wrong, Resident Evil has been always about humans vs monsters and her character ruins it all. Of course, I have nothing against Milla being on the film, but the character should have been human.
