i was just wondering if i buy the sony 8x dvd+r are they beeter if there from japan couse i think i was going to get the ones maid in taiwan,would they work like a original ps2 game.i mean not freeze or skip the game couse i had memorex,they took a long time to load,i bought verbatim dvd+r 16x my ps2 didn't even read thouse so i just want to now if the sonys will work couse there expensive.i have the version 12 slim ps2 model num SCPH-70012.i been hering alot of these tayo yudends wat ever there cald but i cant find them at best buy or any reg.store here in california.

if you go to staples, almost all of their sony are taiyo(from Japan). However, I would suggest you to backup your games with DVD-R.

I also suggest the DVD-R
Sony Made In Japan would be much better, i have seen a lot of people have problems with the one's made in Taiwan
The +R may work for you if your burner has the ability to "booktype" the media, if so it can burn them as a DVD-Rom instead of a DVD+R.
DVD-Rom is the format that an original PS2 game is in.
