I have always used Slide card for my import DVD games, and it worked fine, and in its life, I have has DVD-CD Backup that my Bro in law brought round, so he didnt scratch the original DVD,

Now went his Back ups never worked I assumed that the disks were not done correctly,

but now I finally got an USA PS2 game on CD,
its Galactic Wrestling Featuring Ultimate Muscle,

when I got it it was CD, so the procedure is as follows:

1.Run the Swap Magic3 CD
2.Eject the Disk and insert a PAL DVD game with a Bigger TOC,
(I used all my games as a trial but I think Tekken 4 is my biggest at the moment.)

3.After Refresh Slide card it and put in my Import Game,
4.Press X and Play the Game....

Once I get to step 4 it NEVER EVER HAS WORKED

is this the correct way to do it ?
why wont it work..

Can anyone Help..

Thanks
Kai.

I think the prob may be that you EJECT the disk . Try using the slide card twice one to swap dvd then again with cd

Do you have the CD type of swap magic? There's a DVD one and a CD one. If you use the DVD one for a CD it won't work.

Hey ICE!

I use the DVD Swap for DVD imports,

and I have been trying the CD Swap disk for the CD import of Galactic Wrestling, and the CD is the one that doesnt work and never has, until now I figured I was doing it incorrectly, this is the first original CD Import Ive had, the others Ive tried have always been CD backups of DVD's and they never worked on mine, as its not chipped I assumed the Backups were done incorrectly,

I was interested in the Memory Card Exploit, I read that you can boot off the MC, and not need to be Chipped of Swap Magic at all, is this try, and how can I do it ???

Since you have swap magic, it'll be easier getting it on the mc.

edit - yep, you just need a ps1 game :)

Well, I tryed the Way that PacketNews Link Said.

and got the tools from Black Cats as it said, and run the Swap CD, and (Made 4 meg of space btw on MC) ejected the disk, inserted a bigger TOC to refresh, then did the slide to swap to the X-ploit disk I made from the Packet news site, and.... and.... got the exact same thing as every time I try to boot a CD back up OR in this Case the CD import game Argh!!!,

the Swapmagic screen changed to a red color on the stars bg screen, then the boarder changes to red and blue scrolling stripes.

SO... Im back to square one as they say, I wonder however if I take my MC and X-ploit loader to my Brother in Law(he has a chipped Slimline) and run it there, it may load it to the MC after all,

the PS1 game I used is my only one, its Dance Dancey Dance Europe gaem, the first on on PS1 from Konami, and it seemed to work all the way until the swap :-(

Sooooo.....

the MC X-ploit Didnt Run on my PS2(Brick) so Irun it on my Bro's Slimline(Chipped) and loaded it onto the MC,

Run the program from the Trigger disk, and got hte menu but all the options (Not Tryed format MC..lol)
come up with some error, and Boot PS1Backup didint run,

also when I set the Autorun to run a disk, I assume I have to swap to hte import I want to run within the time limit, so I did and it asks for the ELF but the disk I have dont seem to have a ELF on it showing in Windows explorer..

Yikes,,... any more advise...

The Swap Magic CD DOESNT WORK on my PS2, it NEVER lets another CD load AFTER the REFRESH TOC, and AFTER I USE THE SLIDE CARD FROM LEFT TO RIGHT..

I got the MC X-ploit Prog onto my MC from a Chipped PS2, but nothing in the program lets my CD load, most just come up with a Error in Spanish, but also It could be because I aint got a Hard Disk for PS..

Im thinking now, maybe my Laser is out of line or maybe needs cleaning,

since I got it its always had problems booting PAL PS2 DVD games, sometimes it needed 1 or 2 resets before it would run,

and as CD's read different to a DVD I think its fair to assume after all me problems, Its the laser

ARGH!

Here's a tip: NEVER TOC refresh using a DVD game if you want to boot a CD game. If you TOC refresh with a DVD-ROM game, the CD disc will not be read. I have done that, and when I removed the DVD-ROM and put in a CD-ROM, the discs spins and the laser can't read it, since CD and DVD are different formats. Try to TOC refresh with any CD-ROM game that is bigger than your American game, or just take out Swap Magic and put in the game, then, remember to select PAL as the video mode and special-boot the game(using Square), considering you have a PAL PlayStation 2.

OK,
Done it..and..

it wont Refresh the TOC off any CD game I got, thats a grant total of 2, the Galactic Wrestling (Import) and SVC Chaos-SNK Vs. CAPCOM (PAL)

so it wont run it, I did the Special Boot on PAL and nothing just a blank screen after it was spinning the disk for a while..

I think thanks to this forum Ive tried just about everything,

I have noted that my SVC Chaos doesnt load first time everytime, I have to let it go to the options, (Browser, config) then reset, and it loads then.

Just do a plain swap in PAL mode, special-booted. If that doesn't work, then there's no way you can play the game(unless you're using the slide card wrong). This game is an original, right? If it's a backup, the problem may be the media used.
