Which one gives the best result? 4x? 8x? 12x?

One morething, I observe that CD/DVD discs usually have sloppy edges on almost every single one of them. Does it affect burning in any ways?

Don't burn at 12x ... If I was you, I'd try burning a disc at 4x and the same image at 8x and scan and compare the results .. whichever speed yields the best results is the speed you should burn those Yudens at ...

Every DVD writer and PC combination is unique and you really have to determine which speed is best for you

nope...its the type of dye thats used to make the disc and your burner and the speed the disc is burned at...and that its not broken or anything.
