I have used these disks on my Toshiba Samsung burner with CloneDVD and these disks suck. My Toshiba Samsung eats these disks up and spits em out. Copies one piece of information and the disk becomes someones christmas gift. My Memorex burner works great. So why does Toshiba no like the HP disks?

It's not that your burner doesn't like the discs, it just that the HP discs suck...

My suggestion would be to try better quality discs from Verbatim (Japanese or Taiwanese) or Taiyo Yuden, Sony, Fuji, Maxell ( all made in Japan).

What's the speed rate of those HP discs?
What's the firmware version of your toshiba samsung burner?

Why does HP suck?

Your toshiba samsung me need its firmware updated to the latest version.

What's the model# of it? Also the current firmware version.

What's the model# of your memorex burner? Also current firmware version.

HP uses some sucky manufacturers for their media like:

HP DVD+R 2.4x (CMC MAG.R01)
HP DVD+R 4x (CMC MAG.F01)
HP DVD+R 4x (MCC.....002)
HP DVD+R 8x (CMC MAG.E01)
HP DVD+RW 4x (PHILIPS-041-000)

CMC and Philips totally suck A**! Some may have gotten lucky with the few that MCC made in the +4x speed. This is one brand named media I avoid,along with TDK/Philips/and memosux. Besides, You can get higher quality media for the same price,and even cheaper. These brands may have some good quality manufacturers,but the low quality manufacturers make up the majority of their media. It's called passing the buck-so they can make more money from us.
