PSP USB charging issues

is this usb charger ment to work? when i got the PSP i was in the car and since my CD/MP3 player has USB support i pluged it in and away went the orarange light meaning it was charging. it was 6% percent when i got it and after a 10 minute trip charging on the USB it had 4%. i was totaly confused at how it could have lost battery life . put it in the PC same story as the car, does the USB charger suck big time, or is it just me?

yeah USB charging takes much longer then the psp charger, as for why it actualy drained i dont know why. Try leaving it for a long time i remember my usb charger took about 2hrs im not really sure as i just left it, whereas my pspcharger would take maybe 40 minutes.

Keep in mind that the PSP's battery is Lithium Ion. Heat will adversely affect it. Make sure the PSP is in a cool place in your car whilst it is charging.
