So far I've burned about 130 or so DVD+R and -R discs on my Sony DRU-500AX with few problems. All brands tested have worked perfectly with one exception. I buy 30-pack spindles of Verbatim DVD+R (2.4X) at Sam's Club and have experienced burn problems with about 12% of those tried thus far, and usually it's with several that are in proximity on the spindle. A close examination of the failed DVDs using an intense oblique light source reveals small, radial vein-like features that appear to be in the recording layer (only visible AFTER the recording is done). I see these on most DVDs to a much smaller degree than on the bad Verbatims. Verbatim requested that these be returned for analysis. I for one am sticking to Riteks or something else until Verbatim gets their Q/C act together...BTW the spindle cover says "Made in Taiwan."

I have used Verbatim DVD+R and DVD+RW without problems. I'm trying out the Fuji 2.4x 25 pack from BestBuy right now. Those seem to work also.

yes fujifilm work great. i tried the evrbatim and the ywork without any problems. i think it may be a bad batch or the user\burner need to take a second look at what they are doing.
