I just started backing up my DVD's a couple of days ago. I was able to backup Fun with Dick and Jane without any problems, but this movie left me a little confused on what to do. I am running AnyDVD updated today (28 Apr 06), VOB Blanker, and DVD Shrink. I also tried it with CloneDVD2.

Any suggestions. It's probably easy.... =)

I did the "movie only" backup of this movie. I put in the movie and selected "open disc". I had AnyDVD running in the background. I don't think you need to rip it to your desktop location. Just open the movie directly.

Also, it looks like you tried to open the .vob. Try opening the VIDEO_TS instead. You may have just dug a bit to deep.

EDIT:
OK I have a movie on my desktop in my "Shrink_Target" folder.

I opened Shrink and selected "Open Files" I then found my Shrink_Target folder and clicked it, exposing the VIDEO_TS folder within. I then selected the VIDEO_TS folder. This resulted in the same error you posted.

I then started over. I did not open up my Shrink_Target folder. I simply selected it as the folder for Shrink to open. It worked correctly this time.

Looking at how your files are arranged, I would try selecting "Lords of War" and see if Shrink will open it.

Another Edit:
I tried one more thing to open the movie.
With Shrink closed, I opened my Shrink_Target folder.
I right clicked on the VIDEO_TS.IFO
From the menu, I selected "Open With" and then selected DVD Shrink 3.2. Shrink opened the movie.

Thanks fasfrank. That worked. I noticed the same problem with Jarhead and that fixed it also. Thanks again for your help...Buck
