Rumour has it that the playstation 3 has recently been ranked the 4th best supercomputer in the world. And that the xbox 360 came around 8th! God this playstation 3 is going to be good!!!

so a system thats not out and has not too many confirmed facts about it has just been "rumoured" to rank high as a supercomputer? nice,i bet u thats 100% truth i mean gosh...yeh xbox 360 is far inferior to it.so now lets get back to reality,thats just speculation. i keep saying it,ps3 is just a fish story where everytime the story is told the fish gets bigger. dont believe everything u read. Truthfully i think both the 360 and the ps3 will fall short of peoples expectations its just that MS fans will realize this while sony fans will talk the ps3 up to mythic status undoubtedly...

in some aspects ps3 woops xbox 360's ass, but in graphics xbox 360 will pull ahead slightly after a couple of years, seeing as it has a beter graphics card and unified shader.

overrated in comparison to what? The ps3 will be extremely similar to the 360 in graphics and speed. It may be a little better in one area and worse in others. People expect a little too much at this point and i guess u cant blame them cause its called next gen but be relaistic with yourself.the 360 looks great and so do the ps3 screenshots and some of the videos. there is no noticeable difference between either at this point,i personally give the nod to the 360 because of xbox live which will dominate the ps3's online service make no mistakes about that. Also the 360 is tangible which is a good thing,ps3 is just rumnors and gossip at this point,price is something sony fans will be waiting a bit for so have fun with that.the 360 isnt perfect and it surely has flaws but as do all systems shortly after the release.

Overrated in comparison to current high-end PC processors.
Developers have revealed that if either the 360 or ps3 had a pentium D or amd64, than they would be ahead of their counterpart's CPU.

Dude the PS3/X360 are not supercomputers lol, do you even know what a supercomputer even is? Oh, and by the way, PS3 is gonna be a little better than the 360 only because Sone waited, yes, WAITED, for the 360 to be released so that they could make the PS3 better than the 360 by seeing what Microsoft had done

dude, mainframes can be classed as supercomputers, becasue they are. but man, mainframes would be crap for games playing. they dont process grpahical images etc as fast as youd think. comparing the 360 and ps3 like this jsut doenst work. yeah ps3 does 2 teraflops but its got to pass information through it ram m more than once. the way the 360 is built it, if programed corectly it only has to pass things through its rm once. dont get me wrong the cell cpu is wicked but doesnt mean itl be awesome fore gaming.

yeah you are correct that xbox 360 and ps3 are not super comuters, but for the price and for what they do they are great, also most of the games that come out never really test those supercomputers mainly b/c nobody has one and it would be stupid to make a game that was only compatible for a supercomputer.

I am not disputing the fact that both the 360 and PS3 will be truly fantastic, and yes, a supercomputer exclusive game would be ridiculous. it would be called the Bill Gates disc, seeing that he is like the only person on Earth who can afford his own supercomputer..... Hes like a 74 billionaire or something. That is ALOT of money, heck, id even be satisfied with one million!!
