I hate that it automatically runs the UMD when I power on. How do I turn this off?

Put parental Control to the highest, then everytime your psp starts up, it ask you for a pass, just cancel and it bring you up to the menu. Good Luck!

Yeh but it'd take to much time wouldn't it, couldn't you put a umd that needed more than 1.50 firmware. So that everytime you start up, it will say you will have to update to 2.xx to play the umd, just press the O button and it will take you to home menu, thats what I do with my PES5

I only have one umd. Its the demo and it starts up everytime and I hate having to take it out and put it back in over and over. I thought I read somewhere that you can change a setting so that it doesn't autostart.

Are you keeping the UMD in there to play ISOs? If so, just use DevHook (download from here: http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/445 ). You don't need a UMD inserted so you don't have to worry about your UMD autostarting.

however, devicehook has lower compatibility than umd/mph/dax
