Or windows Media Player Classic, but VLC > all.

If you want a good replacement for WMP then look for WinAMP,Songbird, iTunes..

But, VLC media player is definatly what your after, its never failed me once in playing media that WMP requires a codec for etc.

I'd say use Mediaplayer Classic, since also plays just about everything, and then some.
I personally dislike the VLC Player GUI, so i'll stick with MPC

I just use Mediaplayer classic, looks simple but plays almost any media files that can be found on the internet

For video i use MPC, has yet to not play a file i feed it ;)

For audio, Winamp is definetely the way to go, awesome skins, sound enhancements, and less bulky then WMP10.

Good luck :)

Holy cow. All I can say is FREAKING EWW.

Winamp hasn't been the best music playing software (imo) since about 2002.

And...MPC is...all right, but feature wise, VLC still kicks its butt.

I didn't know people still actually used winamp, lol.

I'm just givin you a hard time, use what you want to use...but...well, yea.

I actually agree on the Winamp part Tom, about it not being the best, their version 2 was the best at the time imo, but like they say, old habits die hard :-)

Media Player Classic just works and I like that. Main reason I started using it was it was easily integrted into my HTPC at the time, I was impressed so it is now onall my PCs.

Each to their own I guess, but I HATE MS Media Player!!
